An early bank of English specimen drawers by J Parris of Bedford.
A truly exceptional & handsome example, raised on reeded feet & with a wonderful scalloped trim with all twelve drawers all retaining their original contrasting ebonised handles. The whole piece is the most beautiful age related colour with the perfect patina, the timbers & veneers are superb quality & the rear of the chest is finished with a pressed copper makers plaque.
Without any doubt, the very best example ofg its kind I've been lucky enough to find.

Wear commensurate with age, totally untouched, very good overall with a few minor chips to the veneers & the odd loss to the trim highlighted in the images. Reasuringly heavy.
