A wonderful 18th farmhouse refectory table.
A beautiful, well loved & rustic fruitwood refectory table with massive drawers either end, both with their original wrought iron handles. The whole table has a fantastic depth of colour & a superb amount of wear, particularly to the end stretchers. Would make a great prep / dining table & also a super kitchen island.
French, 1700's
Wear commensurate with age showing numerous pleasing signs of age, solid, ready to use & displays beautifully.
The top & base feature all original timbers, the central stretcher underneath & bases of the legs are historic additions which are common feature in these period refectory tables having originally been used on damp unfinished floors in rural properties in France. The historic woodworm which was dead on arrival has, as always, been professionally treated as a precaution & one drawer has a thin replacement strip along the bottom front, again a historic addition.
UK courier service always an option, please enquire for details.
