A huge & exceptionally rare antique bus conductors uniform inspection mirror.
A wonderful mirror featuring a thick glass mirror plate embellished with some beautiful reverse gilded lettering & set in it's original bull-nose frame. The mirror was used within the bus depot & conductors and drivers would pass it every day on their way to starting their shift to ensure their uniform was presentable & at two meters in height a fantastic decorative piece. A very rare survivor, there are one or two of these located in transport museums in the UK with this is one of the only known examples to come onto the market.
Early 20th century
Wear commensurate with age, displays beautifully, mirror plate with some very light foxing & some expected wear & tear to the frame. Large & heavy, will need new brackets if it is to be wall mounted.
