A beautiful oversized Victorian glass apothecary jar.
A fabulous hand blown antique chemist jar, adorned with its original skilfully hand painted gilt preparation label & retaining it's original tole lid. Would display beautifully alone or as part of a collection & it's unusually large size & wide neck also makes it very usable.
The gilt label reads "R : Zingib" which is a ginger extract traditionally used to combat various inflammatory diseases.
