A beautiful antique apothecary display cabinet for Oppenheimer's remedies.
A wonderful & extremely rare surviving chemist's advertising cabinet featuring some remarkable workmanship. The lettering and detail to the carved pediment is finely inlaid in bone, the trim surrounding the door is in a rosewood veneer with a delicate inlay & the door retains it's original glazing & brass handle.
A scarce, beautifully made & very handsome piece which displays beautifully.
English, 1900 - 1910
Wear commensurate with age, great condition overall with a small chip front lower left corner & some slight up-lifting & very minor loss to some of the inlay as is often the case with bone. The inside of the cabinet has been later repainted at some stage & the glass shelves & supporting metal brackets are not original.
Collection in person preferred, UK courier service possible, please enquire for details.
