A shops advertising cabinet for Macfarlane and Lang Rich Cakes.
An early glazed shop display cabinet or 'showcase' as they were once known, with etched advertising to both side panels, twin rear doors & two original glass shelves on brass brackets.
Made by O C Hawkes of Birmingham, the interior of the cabinet retains its original milk glass panels top & bottom & the rear doors are finished with their original period brass latches.
A wonderful thing.
Early 20th Century
Wear commensurate with age, showing a few minor signs of its past, one small, historic repair to the timber above the glass on one side & one piece of replacement trim inside, neitgher of which catches the eye & the cabinet is clean & ready to use.
