A large verdigris bronze lantern.
A super thing, beautifully cast in solid bronze, retaining it's original bevelled glazing & with a decorative open gallery & finials to the top and base.
The lantern has mercifully remainined unpolished & has developed a superb depth of colour & patina giving it a wonderful look.
A very impressive & elegant piece of lighting.
Early to Mid 20th Century
Wear commensurate with age, very good overall overall, cosmetically unrestored with a few nibbles to the edges of the glass, all irrelevant as not visible, one non original (non bevelled) glass panel which does nothing to detract (only noticed this when photoraphing it). Fitted with a (later) single handing lamp holder which has been rewired for indoor use in twisted flex. Not supplied with chain. This lantern is very heavy & will require a solid ceiling mount.
All electrical items should be checked and / or installed by a qualified electrician prior to use.
