Huge Turog Bread Sign

A beautiful original antique advertising sign for 'Turog Bread' of monumental proportions.
A stunning & very rare antique sign, the carved wooden lettering & lower board in all original gilt paint, supported by its original iron strap-work to the rear. 
These signs would hang outside independent bakeries assigned with making the Turog loaves using Turog flour supplied by the company.
Turog Brown Flour Company was launched at the turn of the century & was one of the main competitors to Hovis for 'healthy' brown bread until the mid 20th century.
An exceptional & very rare piece of advertising.
Early 20th century.
Wear commensurate with age, in wonderful, untouched original condition. Totally unrestored.
