A wonderful vintage illuminated bakers lantern for 'Gold Medal Currant Loaf'.
A rare survivor which would have sat in the corner of a bakers shop during wartime Britain avertising Gold Medal Currant Loaf. The basic tin lantern is raised on four legs & in a cracking coat of old white paint & the celluloid advertsising insert with it's worn black lettering slides in & out of the front channel.
A wonderful piece of history & a great display piece for the kitchen, cafe or restaurant.
Rewired in twisted cream flex ('plug & play' ~ no on / off switch)
Wear commensurate with age, unrestored, good overall the insert has some expected wear to the lettering & the two left hand legs show signs of (an old) repair where they meet the base. Neither effect it in the slightest & it displays well.
All electrical items should be checked and / or installed by a qualified electrician prior to use.
