A bank of 19th century pigment drawers.
A fantastic bank of twelve pigment drawers in the original painted finish & with the most wonderful hand painted labels to each drawer detailing the paint pigments they once contained. Retaining their original brass knobs & with a super age related patina, a stellar & highly unusual decorators piece.
English, late 19th century, carcass later
Wear commensurate with age, solid yet showing numerous signs of age. The drawers are all original & totally untouched containing pleasing traces of the original pigments, the carcass is a later (early to mid 20th century) niavely scratch-built affair, the drawers look great in situ but are not as snug as they would have been in the original piece of furniture.
