A large white ironstone grocers display slab.
A good early example, manufactured by W & T Avery of Birmingham & with an attractive makers transfer underneath. Used to display butter, hams & the like in the grocers window.
Late 19th / early 20th century
Wear commensurate with age, one historically repaired chip to the rim & another (unrestored & smaller) underneath one of the handle cut outs. Part of it's past & priced accordingly, a good, genuine entry level piece.
