A super example with excellent colour, on its original turned hardwood base in the original ebonised finish, topped with a brass acoprn finial & with a knurled wheel to the base with which to to rotate the globe.
The prolific J. Forest of Paris made a variety of high quality globes in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, largely produced for educational use as this one was.

Wear commensurate with age, displays beautifully showing a few signs of age, areas of expected wear & tear to the globe itself & some woodworm holes to the base, long dead & treated as a precaution.
