A beautiful small antique ebonized museum display cabinet.
A beautiful, early display case of the absolute highest quality the delicate 'bull nose' frame in the original ebonized finish & supporting four glazed panels, all retaining their original 'wavy' glass. The rear of the cabinet features a full size locking door & the interior base is fitted with raised display plinth. Likely custom made to display a specific exibit, possibly a skull or piece of jewellery.
A wonderful survivor.
Wear commensurate with age, very good overall with a few scratches & scuffs to the top glass panel, no chips or cracks. The lock is the only area of slight concern, it is in working order with it's original key however it does appear to have had some work, the deadbolt is thin & the hasp / strike has a crack in it (both detailed last image).
Collection a must due to glass, please enquire if you'd like to send a courier or have us look into a private courier on your behalf.
