An antique shop display cabinet for Caley's Chocolate.
A beautiful, rare antique mahogany advertising cabinet with two glass shelves (removable) supported by brass brackets & 'Cayley's' logo carved to the front lower edge.
The rear door is finished with a large Iverone maker's plaque for John Freedmen & Sons of Norwich which is also where the Caley's brand originated in the mid 19th century. The cabinet retains all it's original 'wavy' glass which is the nicest I've encountered but sadly failed to get across in the images.
A wonderful survivor & a fantastic display cabinet.
Wear commensurate with age, showing signs of its past in the retail industry but very good condition overall. The inner shelves are both lightly chipped & there are a few old woodworm holes here & there (treated as a precaution), neither detract in the slightest.
Collection a must due to glass, please enquire if you'd like to send a courier or have us look into one on your behalf.
