An antique butlers bell indicator box by W Palmer of Bow, East London.
A superb, early butlers box in the most wonderful mahogany case with four indicator windows & original reverse painted & gilded glass window.
These boxes would have been wall mounted in the hall & when a bell was rung, the flag inside the box would be displayed in the relevant window to indicate which room required the butlers service.
By far the finest bell box I've had the pleasure to buy, an absolute gem.
Late 19th century.
Wear commensurate with age, very good overall, all tole flags present inside, untested with original wiring seeminly intact but sold as a display piece.
UK shipping available at £15 tracked & signed for 24 hour delivery.
All electrical items should be checked and/or installed by a qualified electrician prior to use.
