A wonderful large agricultural threshing board.
A fantastic obsolete threshing implement, the thick twin-plank board embedded with hundreds of hand-cut lithic flakes of flint creating some great colours & textures. Threshing boards or threshing sledges as they were known in the Holy Land, were dragged along in circles behind a mule or ox to separate cereals & grains from their straw which was then collected by hand.
A beautifully original & very decorative piece of agricultural salvage.
European, c1890
Wear commensurate with age, completely unrestored showing pleasing signs of its past.
Collection from our warehouse in Downham Market preferred due to size, UK courier service a possibility, please enquire for details
