A wonderful & scarce surviving example of a antique glazed Nettlefold's trade advertising case.
A superb advertising case containing a myriad of samples of the products produced by the company, oak framed with impressed gilt lettering top and bottom & topped with the comany tower logo.
The iconic Guest Keen & Nettlefold's or GKN were established in Wales in 1759 & by the 20th century, became one of the largest 'fastening' manufacturers in the world.
This trade case is a rare survivor with the symmetrical nature of the flat-lay display making it a wonderful decorative piece.
Second quarter, 20th century
Wear commensurate with age, good untouched original condition. An excellent example with some light corrosion on some of the screws etc & one rubber washer has perished (half of it lies within the bottom of the case), original glass perfect with no damage, wear & tear to the base as you'd expect, overall one of the best examples I've seen condition wise. Height measurement does not include the Castle to the upper esge.
