French Square Display Dome c1880

A 19th century square French glass display dome.
A wonderful, square-sided, hand-blown glass dome on its original wooden base with deliacate brass inlays & the original ebonised finish.
Quality wise, there are most certainly 'levels' to these olf glass domes & this is one of the nicer ones I've had the pleasure to own, just perfect in every way.
c1880
Wear commensurate with age, very good overall, glass in excellent condition, the base with very minor loss to the ebony veneer on the front feet, old woodworm holes dead on arrival though, as always, trewated as a precaution.
The above dimensions refer to overall exterior measurement of the dome on its base. The usable inner dimensions are: 50.5cm x 24.5cm x 14.5cm approx.
Collection from our showroom preferred, UK courier service may be possible, please enquire for details.
